Festivals make Berlin shine again

In Berlin, we celebrate the festivities as they fall. The capital is known for its joie de vivre, creative solutions and answers to specific challenges. With the Festival of Lights (September 11 to 20, 2020) and Berlin leuchtet (September 25 to October 4, 2020), there are two top events coming up that offer plenty of fascination as open air.

For ten nights each, the two teams will transform the city into a luminous masterpiece with national and international light artists. Famous Berlin buildings and squares are bathed in colorful lights that can be admired on land and from the water.

The installations tell stories, make statements, draw our attention to things we overlook in everyday life, or highlight changes. The individual stations are freely accessible - 100 places on 100,000 square meters!

In addition, the Festival of Lights breaks all boundaries: with live streams, virtual 3D video shows, augmented reality and social media highlights, it impresses digitally almost as much as live throughout Berlin.
