Crsto Kreuzberg
My name is Crsto, and I’m pleased to be your host during your stay at Hotel Berlin, Berlin! I’m a singer, performer and passionate part-time photographer working on various audiovisual projects. When I moved to Berlin in 2006, I immediately fell in love with it. This city is versatile, complex, an endless source of possibilities. Every district has its own charm and character – especially the vivid and motley Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Neukölln.
My tip for you: lay your tourist guide aside and explore the streets of Berlin on your own. You’ll find record stores, products made in Berlin, cafés, restaurants and nondescript exhibition venues all over the city. Take a walk along the Maybachufer and enjoy a drink from the Späti on the Admiralsbrücke. After your tour, you’ll be a true Berlin insider. Culturally, Berlin has a lot to offer. Music is big, and in the summer, even small ice cream trucks with generators can spontaneously become DJ desks. There are also over 175 museums worth seeing; my favourite are the Hamburger Bahnhof, the Gropius Bau and the Museum of Technology.
Berlin theatres always offer a variety of interesting productions. Dock 11 and HAU host exceptional artistic performances, and the Neuköllner Oper, where I’ve played in two productions, is known for its musical theatre. If you prefer circus shows, I recommend the Berlin Wintergarten theatre. A wonderful team awaits you, and who knows, you might see me on stage there.
